Yeah...I enjoyed it. Not a shit ton of action, but still had a lot going on. Looking forward to the rest of the season.

same here. it wasnt slow to me. it caught up a lot of what ended last season.

they didnt jump right in like Boardwalk Empire with lots of violence but that was OK with me.

it was a pretty "deep" episode setting the direction for the rest of the season

annnddd another boring episode. even slower than the last one. still no Brody scenes and no action whatsoever unless Carrie mumbling "fuck you Saul" did it for you. Still hoping this builds to epic action/suspense in the latter episodes but for real this was lame.

^Exactly. I was thinking she would find something interesting in the shed before she pulled out the islam mat, but nothing. Right now, it's just such an irrelevant plot line. Hopefully they'll tie it together somehow so I don't feel like I've wasted part of my life. They could actually just get rid of his family as part of the show altogether. The wife is pretty hot, but I just really hate her character. It's really developed into a deep loathing. Anyone else have that going on?

So I guess we're to assume Saul threw Carrie under the bus for a reason. That plot development didn't really make sense, as he as always been there for her and been often the only voice supporting her. Obviously he must be doing this on purpose, with some end in mind, and I think he made that clear at the end of last night's episode when he told Quinn to stick around till the end. I was wondering why he wouldn't tell Quinn what he had up his sleeve but that wouldn't be good television would it?

i had no problems with this episode. i have a few problems with all the family scenes but hey, at least its not focusing on the useless brother.

With the exception of Brody's family snoozefest, the season is going along fine. You can't just dive back headfirst into action with this stuff (although Peter Quinn's going commando in Venezuela was pretty bad-ass). I think it's setting up to be a pretty good season.

It will be interesting to see how they get Carrie out of her situation and back into chasing terrorists. Because watching her go in and out of crazy is already old. Get it over with and back into some CIA shit. And again with the Brody family...they better be setting it up for something...because its painful right now.

My problem with Quinn's character is the actor who plays him isn't intimidating at all. He's supposed to be this bad ass field op with a mean streak, but he looks like a software engineer.

So I'm not sure I get what's going on in Caracas. It sounded like the dude was helping Brody because Carrie helped him back in the day...but why can't Brody go anywhere. Obviously the scene at the mosque was predictable, but he's imprisoned there, for the rest of his life? What purpose does that serve? Part of me is thinking they're waiting on Carrie to be available again, but then why tell Brody he's going to be there forever...and why does that dude keep forcing drugs on Brody?

The guys know Carrie and they won't let him go anywhere because they need him to be alive for her. They must owe her a hell of a favor to pass on a $10 million bounty. The heroin was initially a cheap pain killer but now they're giving it to him to immobilize him. He's very well known and people want him dead so they keep in in the Tower of David because they control it and he's safe there.

Much better episode and I love the setting. I hope we get to see the Venezuelan chick naked.

The end if that episode was fantastic, definitely didn't see that coming. I was thinking she should go to Saul and use the situation to get her out if trouble, didn't think they had planned that from the start.

It seems like they are setting up something big to happen with Dana. Maybe Brody finds her, but I think somehow the CIA will be involved in her storyline.

I really like what they are doing with this show. I hardly even notice Brody isn't in the show. Will make it really exciting whenever he is back.

This season has proven to me that the show would have been much better off had Brody just gone through with blowing himself up in that room full of VIPs. The awfulness of Season 2 was almost entirely due to him chickening out, and Season 3 has proven the show can be just as compelling without him. Re-focusing the show on Saul, his past, and the way he uses people was the smartest decision they ever made.

Yep. This season is way better than the mess that was season 2 and Brody's been in one episode. Should've gone down this path story-wise at the end of season 1 instead of a year too late and one waste of a season down the drain.
