They're turning Jack Ryan into a Jason Bourne clone...

I literally just watched this trailer on imdb and thought the same thing.

I just don't get it. If they want to do that, at least use a character like John Clark... not an analyst.

Edit: I should say that most of this movie looks pretty good. I just don't get why they feel the need to make him so comfortable looking in the fight scenes earlier in the trailer. What I really liked about the films Harrison Ford was in was that he was an analyst who just got caught up in that sort of stuff. And he always seemed like he was out of his element in those situations, and he got out of them by acting like a guy who doesn't have that kind of training but is really smart.

Now that Clancy is out of the way, Jack Ryan needs superpowers. Maybe a nice cape.
