reposting my post from the Fall TV 2013 thread:

I watched the 2nd episode of The Goldbergs and it was much much better. It's crazy how much the dad and mom are exactly like my parents. Right down to the underwear and thermostat and the "eww girl stuff" I'm glad the mother's hair and make-up are better

My wife is LOVING this show(might be her favorite new show this year). I am liking it, definitely getting better. I really enjoy the real home-footage at the end of the show they had for the first couple of episodes.

It's a more comedy-focused(much more comedy focused and less "coming of age") update of The Wonder Years moved from the 70's to the 80's. But yeah, the parents are spot-on for the typical 80's parents.
