Hi!
I recently started working at NCSU and signed a lease for an apartment nearby (yay!) Just like the title says, I'm looking for a 26" bicycle. It doesn't really matter if it's a road bike or a mountain bike, but I would prefer a mountain bike. Cosmetic condition isn't important, but it needs to work well enough to get me back and forth to work Tell me what you have and how much you want for it, and we'll go from there!
Thank you! 10/14/2013 7:13:59 PM |

A 26" frame female bike. I will pay up to $130 for a bike in excellent condition, but I would rather get a functional bike for $50.

I assume you mean 26" wheels, because a 26" frame would be equivalent to something like XXXL, and I'm guessing you're not +7' tall. For example, I'm 6'3" and I ride a 21" frame, which is advertised as XL. Women's-specific bikes will, in general, come in smaller sizes than men's/unisex bikes. If you're leaning towards a mountain bike then you need to figure out about what size you need in inches. If you think you might end up with a road bike then you need to figure out what size you need in centimeters. It's not usually a 1:1 conversion between mountain and road bike sizes, so you'll probably want to hop on a few at a local bike shop to narrow down your size on both types of bikes. It's an oversimplification, but essentially your height is going to determine the frame size you need. 10/15/2013 9:29:01 AM |
