their ACC slate mimics ours pretty much. Blown out against Pitt and Virginia followed by an unlikely win. Should be a close game.

This is a make or break game. The young team just got blown out this past weekend and if they lose this game tomorrow then that could leave a disheartened 1-3 ACC squad leading into Cameron stadium this weekend. However, a win could salvage the remaining bits of the season. This is a totally winnable game and what makes this interesting is that Wake is undefeated at home while it seems like this NCSU team seem to play better on the road (minus the Greensboro game).

It really says something about how quickly the demise came for our basketball program.

Last year we had ACC championship predictions.

Now we're underdogs against Wake Forest. Back to being the worst basketball school of the big four


The football program is in worse shape than Duke. Wake may even pass us there too.

How is it possible we may end up with the worst football and basketball program of the big four... just a few years ago we had the best football team in the ACC (but didn't win the conference thanks to TOB's decision to kick Russell off the team). Last year we had the best or second best basketball team in the conference and we took one long continuous dump on the court for the whole season despite getting unbelievable production from Howell/Wood all year.

Being a state fan looked promising just a few years ago. Now we're back to the cellar in both programs potentially. It's time to pack it in for awhile. Wait for brighter days.

Which team are you referring to, 2010 or 2011? You could argue the 2010 team was, as we should have easily beaten Clemson and/or Maryland that year to go to the ACC Championship game. But Wilson was a part of that team, so I can only guess you are talking about the 2011 team. And that team clearly wouldn't have been the best, even with Wilson.

Gott needs to clamp down on the team more for mistakes. If Barber and Lee continue to do stupid ass shit on the court, take them out. We are going to lose either way so at least teach them a lesson. Maybe they'll learn to value each possession.
