I got an alpha code too. I don't know if I will be able to check it out today, but definitely this weekend. This is one of those games I would like to try out before purchasing.

I don't think I like it.I've only played maybe three rounds but it's a lot of just running around chasing scared Birds. you run into the monster and then you just hold on your trigger and hope s*** happens

Yeah I wish there was a better way to coordinate and set up traps so you are not just running around until you meet up with the monster. Might as well just start off next the monster and cut out all the running if that is the case.

I wish there was a better tutorial too. I have no idea how my abilities and weapons really work with other classes. The game obviously is made to play with a team of people you know, but now no one talks - making winning with the hunters almost impossible.

Honestly I wish they would just make a left 4 Dead 3 for next gen.

After a few chances to play as the monster, it is definitely fun - but I could see it getting old quick I like the sneaky aspect of it.

Being a hunter is pretty boring, especially if the monster is good since you can run around for ~10 mins without finding it to begin with. The screen also gets really cluttered with effects when a battle is going on.

Maybe the selection of perks and equipment that are not available in the alpha might make everything a lot more interesting. I'm on the fence of whether or not I will purchase.

I feel like this would be the most fun if you could roll with a group of 5 TWWers and then just be able to randomize hunters and monster players in between rounds.

the game is definitely more fun with a team of people you know. i can't wait for "lan" mode. you need a good trapper to have any shot of finding the monster before it's too late if the monster knows how to stealth. playing with all 5 people in the same room was pretty sweet

also, in todays fast paced world, it took FOREVER to go from one round to the next.

yes i know it is an alpha but still. you had to wait to find a game, then wait for it to load, then wait for everyone to pick their loadouts, then wait for it to load/start up.

I played three or four games and enjoyed it. I liked the need to constantly stay on the move for both sides, and both monster and hunters were equally entertaining.

The matchmaking system could use a lot of work. I was queuing with a friend, and in all but one case we had to wait 10+ minutes for a match.

If they fix the matchmaking I'll probably pick it up when it goes on sale later. I think $60 + ~$40 for day one DLC is high. $30-$40 for the base game, or $60 for game + DLC would be reasonable.

I was underwhelmed. Less hide and seek and more just chasing around in circles and the mobility isn't smooth and fast enough for this to not be frustrating to me. My friend and I who played it got kinda bored with it.

I think I would like it more if it was less about teaming up on a "boss" battle and more like sneaking around picking off people one by one or setting traps and alarms like the old school pandora tomorrrow era splinter cell type gameplay.

Just spamming a level 3 monster isn't what I was really looking for.
