I'm at 1642 trophies... Resources are low, so no one really attacks me :p I'm active/online during the 10 hours or so i'm raiding so no one can retaliate or raid my gains, and then I spend it all on upgrades before I go offline.. :troll:

I would pretty much skip bases until i found one with TH in the corner. So yeah it cost gold, but the elixir and DE were free. I only got up that high for the win bonus. But it was pretty much all TH9 and TH10 and even if my resources were low people would 3 star the shit out of me.

Once I found a suitable base I'd only use 4-5 archers so army cost wasn't bad. I actually only spent about 1/20th of the elixir that I made. But even though 2000% elixir gain is good, it was only 19,000 elixir. Would rather spend 16k on 100 archers and make 100k

I like it. The lowest bases are usually TH7 but I'm one of the bottom few people so it works out. I got 6 stars last war doing dragon/rage spell attacks. One of them on a guy about 12 spots above me

getting to 1,800 trophies was fun, but i dropped back down to 1300-1400 for raiding resources... just couldn't get any worthwhile gains for the time i was spending training men up in the 1,800 range... 1200-1300 is the sweet spot for sure

the lava hound is pretty badass. I've been running 6 dragons, 3 lava hounds, and some wizards for cleanup and it's worked wonders. I've taken out mid-level TH10s with inferno towers pretty easily with this combination. I also tried running them with a giants/healers combo and didn't have much luck with that. My balloons and minons are pretty low right now but I could see lava hound balloonion attacks working well.

haven't used any level 7 archers/barbs yet but it makes me want to rush to TH10, although I'm not too far away from being there legitimately if I can catch up with my teslas.

Im Townhall 9 and I have been running through long dry spells where i cannot find easy loot. I was at 1800 trophies and was getting nothing. Then I dropped trophies and started finding good raiding bases around the 1750 trophy mark. Now im down in the 1650s and again there is no loot. Is anyone else at TH9 and able to find good loot, like 200k of each all in the collectors?

Good loot seems to migrate. I'd float between 1400 and 1900 trophies when I was a TH9 looking for easy gold/elixir. Loot also seems to dry up immediately after every major update before slowly starting to bounce back. Hopefully, it will bounce back soon.

Yeah, its tough at this level not to have easy loot. Its really discouraging, almost tempting to me to quit it for a while. It take me a week to build enough resources to start any builders now. Its not so bad when they offer 1 gem boosts, the collectors do a good job of building loot.

Its crazy, i have two bases. One at TH9 and one at TH6. I have been routinely pulling in bigger halls with gobs, barbs and archers with my TH6 base than I have with the TH9 base. I don't have to search long to find good loot with TH 6 base.

I feel you. I was grinding hard for trophies to try to break into the master league for the gem bonus but you waste so much elixir and you're having to build crazy army comps that take forever and when you do get any thing saved up and get into crystal 1 you're an easy target.

I suggest dropping down to Gold III or maybe even silver I and just doing about 90 archers, 90 barbs, 4 giants, 5 breakers and then either 10 gobs or whatever other unit to fill the remaining space. It's a quick build time, cheap, and you can just raid back to back - especially if you have some time to kill and boost the barracks for a couple hours. You should be pulling in over a million resources a day with minimal play time and you don't have to worry about being attacked as often.

Another thing you can do to protect your elixir when you aren't playing is to build a full army and then queue up as many units as you can (breakers are the best ratio) because it holds your elixir in limbo so when you come back online just cancel all of those troops. It's called elixir banking.

we don't necessarily have a minimum TH level; tbh, you can game the system a little bit by having a few lower TH's because you get matched up with weaker clans than you would otherwise.... so it's not that big of a deal by itself

generally TBH is just looking to see that people will be active during wars and don't do stupid stuff. TLH is just a place to see that before bringing people up.

I've thought about leaving my clan for TBH. We've lost like 8 wars in a row because our higher guys try to prove something by attacking their 1-5's and our lower guys just aren't that active. We've been kicking people left and right. Also been having lots of people join, then we start the search, and they leave. How active is TBH exactly?

On a side note, we were warring with some Asian clan and they changed their clan info so they could call out our failed attacks and mock us. Never seen that before. There should be a battle chat where you can talk shit out in the open.

If we have a 40 vs 40 war, we're gonna get 70+ attacks in. We don't let anyone into TBH unless they get called up fro TLH. Very active. I think we're like 8-1-1 in our last 10 wars. The one we lost was to some team that was like 53-0. And yes, we had a draw. It was kind of epic.
