You...stated...you were going...to brag about the knowledge you had... prior to 'when [Kyle Washington leaving] happens', and I'm kind of unsure what point of yours I proved exactly...

I think your very act of mentioning it in the times you did proves you did it to brag about the knowledge you had, in fact. It's not like you seemed open to discussion on any of those times, and more like it was a foregone conclusion to something you were privy to over anyone else. See, with users like this on here, this is why I get a bad rap as a troll or whatever. This is ridiculous.

The part that you are missing is where I said he works at ncsu or is a booster or his uncle is eskimo brothers with gottfried or he flew the plane that calipari was on when he was on the way to raleigh to accept the coaching job.

I was just saying he predicted the Purvis transfer before anyone had even thought about it and pretty much did the same with Washington which remains to be proven true or false. I do knot know if he knows some one inside or anything like that. I'm glad to have wasted some time that you wouldve normally spent taking your angst out on your pet or some 8 year old on xbox live

I think if K-Wash really grinds in the gym after hours and dedicates himself in game preparation, he can be the next Jevoni

Washington is going to be fine, he's the kind of player that Gott wants to feature in the high post. IE: the only one of our big men who can make a shot from more than six feet out from the rim.

Yeah his 4 possession stretch with the put back dunk, 3, missed jumper, ridiculous pass to Abu for his nasty dunk was the turning point in the game as it got us back within striking distance. GG Kyle.

I can't put it more politely, but can we please stop with the whole player transferring rumors/ "wish you would transfer" posts? Comes across as petulant, and serves absolutely no purpose. Shit on Gott/team performance all you want if you wanna blow off steam

Like I have been saying our best offensive big man, although Abu is getting close. We don't win this game tonight without the spark he gave us.

I, too, start cussing when our 54% 3PT shooter puts up a 3PTr.

Abu is our best back to the basket big man and overall big man. Washington has a pretty damn good face up/jumper.

he has a terrible looking shot and tends to make bad basketball decisions

everyone I was with did the classic, "no no no n- YES" with that shot, which is what happens almost every time he shoots

He is a good shooter. I know everyone wants low post scoring or three point shots but he has midrange game. It's not a popular shot but for him it's in his game a la Karl Malone and I see him make more than miss.

For all that talk about letting Cat be Cat, Wash deserves the same chances. Seems like every other person on the team can force a shot and get away with it but he has a tighter leash. I don't like how much he shoots as much as the next guy but if the guard trio can shoot 15-45 which averages to fifteen shots a game, I see no reason why he couldn't get 6-8 attempts, maybe more if he is feeling it.

I know Gott sees how he can space the floor. He is a liability on defense. Decent help defender but bad one on one. If he focused on his D as much add his O he would get more playing time.

It's just a high risk low reward shot, especially in college basketball. There is just no reason to take a long two when there is still time on the shot clock to work for a better shot. Especially if you're a big who's leaving us in a vulnerable rebounding position just by taking that shot. Clearly yesterday we were trying to make a comeback and no one else was hitting, so I had no problem with him letting it fly, but it's usually a very bad idea.

being able to hit jump shots is necessary in certain games

kyle just needs to learn the difference between "break glass when necessary" and "all the time"

his situational awareness isn't very good

it's an easier pill to swallow when you're down and you're willing to do whatever it takes to get back into a game. his problem is that he does the exact same things when we're in the lead which makes it easier for the other team to get back into a game. he needs to take it down a few notches when we have a lead to protect.

it's why he's been in the doghouse multiple times this season

Washington is our best player. He is too dumb to figure out defensive rotations so he rides the bench, but his shooting %, blocks, and post up game are way more consistent than Lacey.

Washington is the Chris Bosh of the ACC.

The sequence last night where he got the put back dunk, nailed the 3, and then shortly thereafter bricked a 2 pointer with his feet on the 3 point line was the full Kyle Washington experience.

I don't disagree, but it's also why I think the college game sucks compared to the pro game. He's tuned in to the pro game, where they don't harp on you if you take a shot early in the clock. If you're open, it's a good shot. I'm sure if people hate on his mid-game so much, he'd be glad to oblige everyone and stick to shooting only 3's or barreling down the lane to try and force an awkward looking lefty hook.

Some teams are much more concerned with offensive rebounds than others. We are not one of them. Most of our shots are long range, and having one less body to help with offensive rebounds isn't that big a deal. Just as important as offensive rebounding is getting back on defense. If his defense wasn't so bad, this would be more effective, but rebounding/defense is the risk/reward that's always there and all teams have to deal with it.

I think that is in general a dick move to bitch about a guy who has played a crucial role in prolly our best and most significant wins of the season.

Kyle Washington is a shot blocking beast that has an unstoppable goofyass post up arsenal. I know everyone cringes when he jacks up shots but his shooting % has gone up as of late. Best player on the team

Just because Gottfried doesn't use him enough doesn't mean he isn't the best player. His field goal % is solid. In our bad games when the starters were playing like shit he always came in and delivered. Anytime we start to have a meltdown offensively we need to put in Washington and let him go to work. He can end scoring droughts and mitigate our meltdowns.
