Pretty sure I'm going to go on and buy VIP tickets as soon as they go on sale this time. How much cheaper do they typically start out at? I've always waited for the full lineup before buying in the past.

According to their facebook page, they said they were going to announce a band either tomorrow or next Wednesday. But yeah, def not the full lineup.

wow yeah, apparently. they will be on sale again saturday (the remaining 75% of the wristbands) but you'll have to pay the higher price at $205 each (plus taxes)

decided to get the 3-day wristbands this year after doing VIP for the past 3 years. never made it to a single VIP party and I can only remember skipping two or three lines at most.

so I will probably miss a show this year due to being unable to get in.

definite possibility, and that's certainly how my luck works. my concern for this year would be the fact that there's no memorial auditorium shows, so more people will be flocking to a fewer number of venues at a time. they are lowering the overall wristband total to account for this, but i'm guessing we'll still see longer lines for whatever ends up being the more popular acts.

i am thinking this year may be more like Year 1 with no memorial auditorium and more people packing in the club shows. VIP came in extremely handy that year. bought my wristband this morning - can't wait!

a bit surprised that freeman is that high up considering it's aaron freeman from ween, and had he not broken up the band 2 years ago I doubt they'd ever be asked to play a festival like hopscotch. I guess maybe the fact that brad cook from megafaun and some other triangle artists being in his new band had something to do with it

I heard on WKNC (and just read on the website) those lineups were flip flopped. Spoon/st Vincent/Lonnie Walker Friday; mastadon/death/valient thorr Saturday.

Diarrhea Planet is playing every damn music festival lately. Just noticed they're playing at Hangout on the gulf shore. I seriously love them, they're very fun live and I haven't gotten too tired of them the four times or so I've seen them play. They've played with a good friend's band three times now, and they also love them to death.
