I forgot to mention the interior on the SS is simply amazing. The seats are awesome, car even has a decent sounding exhaust, it growls. But they cut corners and put the ls3 in it instead of a ls7 or lt1. And no manual option. Its like they didn't even try.

So my installer of choice is backlogged into June, has anybody had any engine work done at a reputable shop in Raleigh?

Are you just suggesting them, or do you have 1st hand experience.

Mayhem Motorsports are stand up guys who do great work.

RPM, not so much.

Whats your opinion on CAMS? From the long threads I read about that C6 I'll stay far away from that shop.

Mayhem is over 600 more than my installer. I'll just be patient and wait until June. No way in hell am I paying 1600 labor + tune (thats more than my parts cost).

I'm heavily suggesting them but one of my best friends works there, he's actually a NCSU grad too

Rick Crawford will be doing the install if I can't find someone else that's reasonable.

If a shop would quote me 1300 install tune I'd be all over it.

I refuse to pay more than the cost of parts for the install 1400 in parts, 2k install dont make sense.

I'm not going to, I just wanted to see if the prices other shops were quoting were legit. I'll be waiting.

I wonder if I could pull it off with a book and just diving in.
