......is now GALOT Motorsports park. The former Dunn-Benson dragstrip was auctioned last October. Big changes to the track such the first 300' of the track will be "climate-controlled". Also, a brand new tower. Look forward to it's opening tentatively scheduled for April.

OK well when I feel like hauling my kids that far that will matter. But Benson is less than an hour away, and kids don't know the difference in a regular dragstrip and zmax.

I used to drag race at Bristol a lot on the "run what you brung" Street Fights nights, and never realized how nice of a track it was until I went to a local 1/8th mile track here in the Knoxville area. What a difference lol Not that your kids will know, but the difference sorta cracked me up.

Is Dunn-Benson quarter or 1/8th mile?

1/8th, track was horrible. Maybe this remodel fixes it.

^track was fine. just had to adjust your driving style. i could pull a 1.8 60ft. on street tires at benson but never could duplicate at fayetteville.

Biggest problem with the track was having to drive through the water box.
