At Amazon.

http://www.amazon.com/Castrol-06241-10W-30-Titanium-Synthetic/dp/B007GKRBCC/ref=pd_sim_sbs_auto_59?ie=UTF8&refRID=0FSHF238X8A7XF2JMJXN

You can buy other (select) Castrol products and get this deal, I just chose the 15k mile synthetic oil with my purchase.

Filter is good for 10k miles, but I might try to use it a bit longer than that.

oh hell yeah they do.

I personally run full synthetic oil (usually Mobil 1, but I'll use other stuff if there's a good sale on it). I have used Bosch, Delco, and a few Wix and Purolator filters. I change them every time I change the oil, though, and I change the oil when the maintenance minder says to, even if it's calibrated for conventional oil (like on my Insight). If it's something older like my truck with no maintenance minder, I just do it every 5k miles, on the 5s and 0s (and in my old beater Ram, I actually do run conventional oil).

I know we all have probably avoided anything Fram like the plague for many, many years. Here is an interesting article, though. Some of their filters look like they're fine.

Man I feel gaffled by Amazon, I went to Wally World and man oil is dirt cheap there. 5 quart of Mobil 1 Extended Performance and Castrol Extended Edge (15k miles versions) was $25.17. WTF, and one else buy oil from there?

I always get the Mobile 1 Extended Protection Full Synthetic from Walmart 25.17.

Who buys oil from amazon

Amazon lost a lot of my business when they started charging taxes.

I always buy my oil at Walmart. Will be doing that again shortly.

dealership wants $300 for an oil change Think I'll be doing that myself!

(2) 5 quart jugs MobilOne 0w40 at Walmart - $50
oil filter kit from http://www.suncoastparts.com - $25

Save myself $225, or $75 from a private shop

$300 for a oil change?

I've never looked at a Porsche closely. Is there a under body kit or something that has to come off to get to the oil?
