I'd love to see a young american emerge this year and take it

Someone from that Dufner, Sneds, Speith, Mahan, Bradley, Fowler-type group.

Masters week is finally here.

I'm just one sports fan, but in my mind this is the greatest sporting event of the calendar year.

Nothing can touch Sunday afternoon watching great players at the top of their game get forged by the fire that is the back nine at Augusta.

I LOVE working Thursday and Friday during the Masters, but I gotta admit that I'm pretty bummed about Tiger not being in the field.

I still believe that there is nothing better in sports than watching the final round of the Masters when Tiger is in contention.

The 17th just isn't the same anymore without the Eisenhower tree. That's a big loss for Augusta.

I think I read somewhere that they plan on replacing the Eisenhower tree...my guess is that it was too late to replace it before the tournament if that's true.

^^ what's the point of being a complete asshole for no reason?

I was just looking at a before and after pic and made a comment.

That was a big part of the charm of that hole too.

^^ Lol, apologies.

I'm so fucking tired of hearing about it.

Between Tiger not playing and the tree being harmed/taken down...I'm not quite sure why they're bothering to play the tournament.

It's def gonna be either Adam Scott or Henrik Stenson.

I think that they have the best shot, and Scott should win it pretty easily.

Jason Day is the darkhorse.

Was the par 3 really live at 3? I thought it was played in the morning. I have Boo Weekley, Sergio, and Rory as my 3 choices. By the way the par 3 day is awesome!

^^ Day has the 3rd best chance to win according to Vegas.

I don't think he fits in the darkhorse category.

He is one of the best players ever at Augusta. Are you guys new to golf?

Bill Haas early clubhouse leader with a 68. ACC guy and a genuinely good guy.

I know he is a legend, never said he was not.

I just like the fact that he seems to put it together at just the right time every year for a nice 2 day run at the leaderboard...then on Saturday he always drops off.

6th, t15th, t12th, and t13th last four years. 11 top tens at the best tournament in golf.

Pretty legendary. Hopefully he adds another. If that back held up more, he would have won so much more.

He can't putt either. He's struggled with 4 footers his whole career.

That being said, BOOM BOOM was my favorite player growing up.

One thing I've picked up on is there are rules guys everywhere now.

They aren't going to have another illegal drop incident.

That break was nuts. Bubba is certainly "feeling it" this afternoon.

Also, Sergio's pants cure all breast cancer in a 15 meter radius.

Looking like Mickelson, Donald, Garcia, Els, the Johnson boys, and Dufner are heading home or over to HHI after today.

This is my favorite week of the year, but this field sucks.
