Any Volvo experts/enthusiasts around here? Found a 780 for sale here locally that interests me and I wanted to know if anyone is familiar with potential issues for these cars.
It's an '88, 161k miles, looks extremely clean (I've seen it in person but not yet driven it), seller is asking $2k obo. Claims everything works except the cruise control. Service records since 2000 as well. It's the 2.8 prv V6, which I know wasn't Volvo's best engine ever, but I've heard the late ones were mostly sorted. This would be an extra car, not a DD. I just love the 780 and the price seems reasonable for what it is (especially if he'd take 1500). Thoughts?
