Caught an 8 o'clock showing on my way home from work. Visually it was beautiful and I can't say I disliked it. But certain elements just didn't go well I thought. Hiccups stubborn naïveté for one, and stoics storyline I though could have been done better. The alpha fight was also incredibly anti climactic as were the dragon battles in general. Then the ending felt rushed. It's obviously setting up a recurring villain for the next one. Overall a good movie, but I didn't find myself liking it as much as the first.


Also I could have sworn there was already a thread for this, but can't find one.

I love the first movie, one of my favorite animated films. I will probably take my son this weekend to catch 2. looks pretty good from the previews.
