I've heard Magnolia tossed into this discussion before. I vote In the Midnight Garden of Good and Evil (from what I remember at least. Turned that shit off 30 min in).

(Haha I've liked every movie listed so far except Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil)

That's because it is super bad. I'm claiming victory in this thread even though I saw this movie almost 20 years ago, I still list it as one of my least favorites ever. To be honest, I don't even remember why it was so terrible other than it being dreadfully boring...but I still bring it up in every such conversation. It's on Amazon Instant now so feel free to try it yourself.

Mr. Wrong also gets a nod from my hatred department, though it was not boring, just bad.

To contribut emore:

[Edited on June 20, 2014 at 2:50 PM. Reason : some movies are paced very slow, but are still great (see: The Fountain). i don't hate on them.]

ADD must suck. Great movies listed here.

However, Melancholia was just intolerable in every way. It might be my most hated movie OF ALL TIME. Kirsten Dunst is poison to me.

I find 90% of the movies I see to be intolerably boring..this is why I hardly ever see movies in the theater anymore

to be honest, I found The Dark Knight and Anchorman 2 to be horribly boring

I'm sure there were worse ones, but I can't recall any of the top of my head.

anything with this Mofo writing or directing:
Terrence Malick
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000517/?ref_=tt_ov_dr

I saw "the New World" in theaters and the 20% of the audience left before the end. At one point the theater erupted in a collective *guffaw* at the ridiculous plot

I watched "Tree of Life" after seeing dinosaurs and cool shit in the trailer. It ended up being Brad Pitt being a dysfunctional dad developing into a dysfunctional dad.

Then "Thin Red Line" after hearing it was top 10 war movie or some crap. Watch if you like seeing tall grass bending to the breeze set to pastoral music

It seems Malick is the easiest to pick on since his movies have the least amount of dialogue. If you like gorgeous and sometimes groundbreaking cinematography then you will like his movies. Days of Heaven is considered a classic. I'll admit The New World didn't quite grab me.

It's worth watching the Thin Red Line alone to see Woody Harrelson blow himself up and the hilarious underuse of every famous actor ever.

Ive only walked out of 1 movie Ive paid for, National Security with Martin Lawrence.

Got through about 20 minutes of Cloud Atlas before shutting it off.

Same with Lone Ranger (the new with Johnny Depp).

Gravity. Made it all the way through somehow.

American Hustle was pretty boring, got to a part and thought it was near the end, checked how much time was left and it was only halfway done, was tempted to turn it off but made it through.

I'd like to know what was groundbreaking about the cinematography in Tree of Life. All that shit about the creation of the Earth didn't look much better than a Discovery channel special IMO.

the Godfather I or II, Casino, Goodfellas
The Shawshank Redemption
Hot Tub Time Machine
District 9

I feel about movies the way some people feel about books: I can only enjoy a precious few of them. I basically just suck at movies. It's as if I had erectile dysfunction, and could only get a hard-on for supermodels and certain other sporadically-occurring women.

LOL, I can't believe cyrion actually watched Mr. Wrong.

I recently watched How Do You Know on FX or E! There's a reason you've never heard of it. It's unsettlingly bad. And it only cost 120 million dollars.

But I'm with JeffreyBSG in that a lot of movies are boring to me.
