He had just hit a fan in the face off the tee...and the fan was bleeding and all and looked pretty messed up. He confirmed after the round that it had a big affect on him and he was unglued for a little while.

Indeed. That bunker fail just was the end. I'd like to see sergio win a major but rory has earned this one (if he can hold out which looks likely)
