Pretty solid upgrade. I'm liking the direction apple's going with the continuity/handoff stuff. It's pretty nice to have my iPhone "just work" with my Mac. I'm on my laptop most of the day, and being able to send txts and iMessages so seamlessly is pretty convenient.

Also, my reception is not too great in my apt, but I can leave my phone near a window (where it gets okay reception) and take calls straight from my computer (or iPad). I've been using the webpage continuity stuff too.

I don't really like the new Spotlight UI but I think Apple is planning to do more with this in the future (when they integrate Siri). Overall it seems faster too.

How do you receive texts from non iPhone users on your Mac? I know there was an update for your iPhone today and was wondering if that had anything to do with it.

finally upgraded this morning - my time machine backups were failing recently for some reason and finally worked last night

overall i like the new appearance - i go back and forth between chrome and safari but i've been solely using chrome for a few months now - trying to go back to safari due to the javascript improvements (our product at work is javascript heavy) - SMS works at work but phone calls don't so i assume they are blocking via the network somehow

also just transferred from parallels to fusion and it's taking some getting used to but so far it seems faster

Love the OS, but it's slow as fuck on any MBP older than 2013.

I also have a 2009 13" MBP with 8GB of RAM and an SSD and can also confirm it works great. This thing is nearly 6 years old and I just haven't seen any compelling reason to replace it.

I was contemplating buying an SSD and putting it in my 2011 iMac...bet it would be great there too!
