^Does the free version do it though?

Any reason you need to do it to a PC and not a TV? Some TVs like Samsung smart TVs have built in bluetooth mirroring

[Edited on October 21, 2014 at 5:26 PM. Reason : i assume it's bluetooth...you don't actually pair the device like you would to a headset]

Is your device rooted and do you have to stream it live? I've used an app called Screencast to just record everything I do on a mobile device, then can upload the video. Think it's like $3.99 for paid version and requires root.

Root not required for AllCast ... but Chrome on a PC computer is required, get the Chrome extension here:

AFAIK it works in Free. I can't verify right now since I'm at work and it's a restrictive network.

I don't think Allcast can do screen mirroring, it just casts media

^^Ah my bad, I see, there were lots of articles and posts about it but Koush still hasn't put it in the app.

From a Google Play review:

"I need screen mirroring from android to pc but the option is not on the app! I've seen the videos everywhere showing it works, what I don't see is where to get the updated app (if it is required) or how to get it to work - if ever the option to screencast is missing like in my case.

koush - Mirroring has not been added yet into the app."

I'm guessing you don't have a supported screencasting device for the Chromecast? I have an HTC One and it works great.

Assuming you can't buy a new device that supports mirroring ... can you root the device?

Or spend $5 and hope for the best?:

I have a feeling you don't need this for your original use anymore ... but:

Mirror Beta now open

Mirror lets you record a video of your Android screen, or cast it to:
* Apple TV
* Fire TV
* Chrome (not Chromebook due to firewall issues)
* other Androids

Android Kitkat (4.4) devices require root.
Android Lollipop (5.0) devices do NOT require root.

Instructions and download:

I've been searching for an app that will let me mirror iOS or Android and Airserver is what has been recommended to me. Still haven't had a chance to try it out.
