That 4.5 spread sounds about right. Syracuse is a little better than us based on the eye test. Both these coaches need this win desperately. I think we keep is close, but fuck up the 4th quarter and lose by 7-10 pts.

This sums up State under Doeren's ACC coaching minus Florida State in 2013 and Clemson which were absolute blowouts. Syracuse defense looks pretty good and our offense doesn't seem to put up much yards in ACC play with the exception of the Florida State game this year. Our defense will make Syracuse look like a top-25 team. Expect blown coverages in the secondary and expect their backs to run over our defense and also lots of missed tackles. Also, their freshman QB is pretty mobile so expect him to gain yards at will and make our defense look incompetent.

Yeah Cole Stoudt makes that Clemson offense hot garbage. They're an entirely different offense without Deshaun Watson. Clemson scoring 16 vs Cuse is much more a product of a Cole Stoudt-led offense than Syracuse's D.

Coming off of our BYE week rested.
Two weeks to prepare for a game.

State not winning division road games. We have won, what, 1 in the last 8 years or something like that.

That said, this is the first time we have played Syracuse on the road as a division opponent so its not like they are a part of that history, really.
