We would be open to selling the house to a tenant, if the tenant decides he wants to buy it, but we've decided to avoid the rent-to-own agreements because we don't like the complicated tax implications. If you rented it and decided you wanted to buy it from us (assuming we agreed on a price that made everyone happy, etc), we would obviously just nullify the lease agreement and do a sale instead.
