^It was more believable in the British version because of how their politics work.

But this was the most equivalent they could make it, I never had a problem with it.

They leaked the third season accidently(or not) today and I was able to watch the first episode before they took it down.

The first episode focuses a LOT on Doug...so if you rewatch episodes be sure to remember what went down with him and the chick in Maryland.

Not a ton of focus on Frank and Claire until the end of the episode...mostly about promises they made before he got the presidency.

It's a good one but not like S2E1 was where you were like

So we think he held on to the Diary to prove his loyalty at a later date (like he did)...or he probablly help on to it to use against them if needed.

Disappointing season to be honest.

Definitely feels like mid season break or a huge setup for the 4th and most likely final season with Frank as president.

two things that stick out to me either
1.) Claire is pregnant
or
2.) Claire is going to run for President

The Doug storyline with the chick was wayyyy too long and drawn out. That could have happened halfway through the season.

Remy intrigues me...he's not just going to go away that easy. Didn't he and Claire have a little thing at one point? I can't remember.

Interesting season from a plot development point of view but not nearly as as the first 2 seasons.

I definitely think they are setting up Claire to run for President... seemed that she had a lot of support and folks related to her more than Francis.

I don't think Francis will be able to handle it and will either commit suicide or kill her and get busted for it.

^That's a wild group of assumptions. Claire got hammered for lack of experience regarding the Ambassador to UN position. Having her run for President, regardless of popularity, would not be a good follow-up. More likely she will run on her own for another political position that doesn't require nomination so far in advance. Jumping into the Presidential race after the first primary just wouldn't make sense.

Their whole point was that they used Francis to grant her a position of power when she already has all the cards to do it on her own. She doesn't need him for that, and he likely needs her more.

He invited her up to his suite for champagne once and she turned him down in season 1.

Season 3 was ok it just felt like half a season's worth of material stretched out... compared to seasons 1 and 2 nothing really happened.
