UCF played two P5 teams and lost to both (Penn St by 2 and Mizzou by 28). There's no evidence to really suggest that they'd go 4-4 against our ACC slate.

Only common opponent is USF, who they beat 16-0 and we beat 49-17. One fan on that Rivals thread claimed that they didn't open up the playbook too much vs USF since they knew they would easily and instead played it close to the vest knowing they had ECU the following week.

FWIW, Sagarin and Football Outsiders both have these two teams ranked similarly. We're 49 in footballoutsiders and they are 52. We're 60 in Sagarin and they are 57.

Meh, we don't have any "bad" losses on our record this season. Every team we lost to is in a bowl game. They lost to freaking UConn. They can't really talk too much crap.

UCF #3 overall defense in the nation based on yards allowed/game.
UCF #100 overall offense in the nation based on yards/game.
UCF #71 SOS.

NCSU #49 overall defense in the nation based on yards allowed/game.
NCSU #63 overall offense in the nation based on yards/game.
NCSU #59 SOS.

Going to come down to whether we can run the ball on them. I think our defense can stop them, but they have a top 5 D, so going to need to score 21+ to win.

My whole point was that "Bitcoin Bowl" is not the title of the bowl. It's the St. Petersburg Bowl and it has a sponsor that I could give a shit about.

Any bowl titled with just a sponsor is stupid. Look in that trophy case and say "I remember that epic PapaJohn's.com Bowl. What a pizza!"

The Taxslayer Bowl sounds so low rent for a major game in comparison to the Gator Bowl. At least Capital One moving to Orange Bowl sponsorship means the Citrus is back to being the Citrus, and the Chick-Fil-A Bowl is now the Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl.
