Statistically this is the most evenly matched ACC game we've had so far. Miami's wins seem overall more impressive, but we're at #6 strength of schedule and they are #60.

I think we win a close game as long as we minimize turnovers.

yeah i think this is gonna be a tough game. would feel a lot better about it if it were at home. at least we did get a decent break after the FSU game....Saturday to Thursday turn around isn't bad at all

The Coach Gott show yesterday was pretty good on what the team is doing to prepare. Analyzing the Notre Dame video to see how they can effectively shut down Rodriguez, working on defending the screens Miami will inevitably set. He did think Cat would be back, but he wasn't definite on that. No anticipated changes to the line up.

this game is huge. we really need to prove that we can beat good teams on the road. you may say FSU is good but they're struggling to see the bubble. They're 147 RPI vs. Miami as 49.

everything in me says that this will likely be a loss since Miami is at home, well rested (as are we) and hungry just like us. I hope I'm wrong.

I'm trying to find the video from a few years back when we played Miami and we beat them at the very end because fo a stolen inbound pass. The announcer started yelling "and the students rush the court!" just because 3 kids got over excited and took a couple of steps onto the floor.

Yeah I don't think we were a bubble team in 2012-2013, it was more a question of how low a seed we'd get based on our WTF type performances in a decent amount games (OK St, Wake, MD, etc.). Pretty sure that other than that Miami loss with the Reggie Johnson tip-in we won every home game.

that's also the year Miami won the ACC, right? yeah we weren't really a bubble team. we played in the 8/9 game in the NCAAT - don't remember which seed we were. but if i remember correctly, we were pretty much definitely in the tournament (unlike the other two years under Gott) but because we were inconsistent throughout the year, it was apparent we wouldn't get a particularly great seed.

Yeah, we were in the 8-9 game that year. I think we were the 8 seed.

That Miami loss hurt. I think we were up by like 10 in the second half too. I was watching it at my Dad's house and going nuts. Everyone on that side of the family is either a casual UNC fan or not a fan of college sports at all. My step mom was like "You really get into it"
