Season 1 of Bosch was released Friday on Amazon Prime. Based on the string of detective novels by Michael Connelly starring Titus Welliver. Anyone watching this weekend? I'm through the first 4 and I am enjoying it so far. It's not groundbreaking by any means but so far i'm liking the mystery of the case that's the current focal point.

I watched the pilot a while back and was intrigued. Certainly looking forward to seeing the whole season.

finished season 1. Really enjoyed it. Almost all of the arcs came full circle and it ended as a fairly self contained season. I really hope it gets picked up for a second season though.

Watched this over the long weekend, which says at least something about it's entertainment value.

The Pros:
- Overall I thought the story was pretty good
- Always good to see a guy like Welliver get a shot at something bigger
- The guy who played Waits was excellent

The Cons:
- Despite my above sentiment, I'm not sure Welliver is capable of carrying a show like this. He's not bad, but combined with what I thought was a not-so-great script it left me a bit confused as to where they were trying to go with the character, or how I should feel about him and his attitude
- Some of the writing details bugged me a bit. I get that they were probably going for "classic LA cop drama" in a way, but the jazz and his house and all that was a bit off to me. The relationship with the daughter and everything that entailed didn't seem written well either

In the end I think this is definitely better than a lot of TV out there right now, though if it's picked up for a second season I'm not sure I'd watch unless I heard from people that it was really good
