Their strength is their guards which is good for us both cause we have trouble with dominant interior play (and Marshall Plumlee). They are much better than a year ago and a legit Final Four team but we can stay close.

Their record seems a bit inflated. Didn't really beat anyone of note OOC (pre-injury VCU is their best win) despite winning them all. Took care of business in the Big East beating current tourney teams in Xavier (3x), Providence (3x), Butler (2x), St. John's (2x), and Georgetown. Only losses are away games at Georgetown & Seton Hall. Not to slight the Big East or how talented their team is, but I question how battle tested they are.

^^^ Their schedule isn't THAT weak. I mean they played some borderline tournament teams. Providence etc. But daggum, they crushed St. Johns at the end of the season.

Glad we got the big win last night. Hopefully I am wrong, but we have not proven to play very well after big wins and Villanova looked pretty damn good last night. This looks to have the makings of a 20 point loss, but at least if its to a 1 seed it wont be that embarrasing. If we keep it close I will have faith we can pull it out though.

^ i was thinking about that last night. I was there when the team got back from their plane ride. I still remember jules trying to sneak out the back door to avoid the fanfare but a few of us saw him and ran over to his jalopy so i could shake his hand and get his autograph. Still have my signed copy of the wolfpacker with him on the cover, even after a dozen moves. Anya's tip in go into my top 3 tourney memories along with jules' drive. Down the lane against uconn and our last pick on selection sunday celebration.

I'm pretty pessimistic about this game. They run 4 guards and a big. That's what Duke did against us in the ACC tourney.

I agree that they look overrated. 1-0 vs top 20 RPI, lots of top 50 games but lacking top level competition.

I think our schedule will benefit us this game, and we will be ready to fight.

Not feeling too good about this game. We need to get back to playing like we did against syracuse and pitt at the end of the year, not how we played against duke and lsu. Turner needs to break out of his shooting slump in a big way. Also, lacey has looked a little out of sync on offense lately, settling for too many long threes. May have to do with cat being more assertive but i would like to see him get some more drives and mid range shots.
