I can hide behind white privilege because I'll probably never have to worry about being physically harmed by a cop, but I have had experiences with them where complaints were warranted. I've been pulled over and the questions that were asked were not appropriate. I didn't file a complaint, but if I did, what's the point. They don't care. They all watch out for their own.

They were released after it was revealed that they were media members. Which begs multiple questions/observations.

1) they weren’t asked for their credentials while being arrested...why? (They were also very obviously media members but whatever)
2) still doesn’t answer why they were arrested to begin with
3) what would’ve been the outcome had they not been media members? They would’ve remained in custody for no clear reason?

I think some people use umbrellas to block tear gas canisters and pepper spray. It's not a wild leap to say he was like an anarchist or antifa that didn't want to be on camera. I struggle with the idea that someone could be recognized just by their eyes like that, but who knows. Regardless at a minimum the guy didn't seem like part of the "community"
