Anyone down for getting a group together to play a Civ game via email?

Interested in doing III, IV, or V.

What's the anticipated length of game for something like this? Is it measured in units smaller than years?

Well shit you can only play 4 people in Colonization so let's get the ball rolling. I don't know if you can play by email though.

Sayer: Ive never done it, but knowing my personal Civ games take weeks, and hearing stories about years, yes probably years.

Ill try to set one up with IV:Col tonight. V I think we will have to do some off-TWW logistics and Im still trying to figure out how to set it up with the giant robot site.

OK looked at IV:Col tonight. We can have 6 players, or a mix of that being humans/AI.

PM me if you want in, your leader and/or race if you have a preference. Also your difficulty if you dont want explorer.

Also if youve got any other preferences youd like us to have. If you dont know all the possible options, test start a multiplayer game and youll see what I mean.

Also, do you want teams, or teams as they develop?

lastly, send me an email addr. and if anyone has an open SMTP server we can use, lemme know. if not, Ill might hunt one down. We dont need one but it makes it easier.

I did my turn, I need to upload the file and I guess we all pull it down and Im not sure where to go from there. Reading up on doing PBE today to figure this out.

Ill either post here or stick a txt file in the dropbox or w/e and we can update it once youve taken your turn; once weve the order figured out we will knows whos next looking at it.

Its john adams turn (i forget which of you asked to be him). save will update name of whos next.
