The trailer makes me want to watch the first episode, but can a show that involves puppets interacting with humans still work in primetime? The last show that I remember that was like this was Afl. I don't know that I would laugh at 80s/early 90s style comedy today.

I also think this is gonna choke. was reading a concept review for it, that its suppose to be more "adult" focused. I dont think ABC can pull this off.

^It looks like they are going to try to set it up as a parody of The Office which was already a parody of reality TV with all of the interviews in each episode. I don't know that that will work well.

The Original Muppets show was a spoof of variety shows, and more adult oriented than the movies.

if it's got the comedy of the recent movie with jason segel, amy adams, jack black, galifianakis, sarah silverman, etc. etc., then it should be pretty good (wasn't that one or two muppet movies ago? i haven't seen the most recent one(s)).

and yeah, the original tv show was definitely more adult-oriented. remember when they had alice cooper on?

I still remember waking up one Saturday to watch the Muppet show, only to have my dad tell me a new show called Muppet babies was going to come on. That was cool for a short while, but then I wanted the original show back.

The first episode was a little meh but the second episode killed it. I love how many guest stars they've managed to get just for quick walk-ons. The humor is subtle but very much for adults.

My favorite moment so far -

Scooter: "I bet the band would be happy to buy your cookies."
Bobo: "Yeah! Those guys are always happy!"
Scooter: "Legally now!"

Thought the second episode was much improved over the first. Laughed out loud at plenty of moments. Laurence Fishburne was great.
