Premiered on June 21. Saw the first three episodes. Enjoying it so far.

In comparison to their other new series, Ballers, it's much better. In comparison to their other political comedy Veep, it's not quite as good. But it has potential.

Anyone else watching?

I like it. I don't like Jack Black, but it's not awful.

Re: Veep. Finally attempted to watch it after seeing it was created by the same guy that was behind Thick of It. Couldn't make it to the end of the first episode. Fucking awful. Is the first episode an aberration and the others are MUCH better? Also, Anna Chlumsky is the worst. Literally. The. Worst.

Don't watch it for Jack Black. I can tolerate the guy normally and even I don't think he's that good in this. Tim Robbins is making it pretty watchable, though.

^^^ veep doesn't really hit its stride until season 3. but if you're not into the pilot episode, you probably won't enjoy the rest.


^^ i agree. jack black isn't over the top in this show. he gets the job done. tim robbins is carrying it.

I watched the first three episodes. Agreed that the Jack Black storyline is kind of meh. I find the fighter pilot parts a lot more interesting than the other two storylines. The Tim Robbins parts are pretty good, I like how he is essentially in an open relationship with his wife and they are fully aware and just don't give a shit.

I slipped into watching Veep because it came on after GoT and Silicon Valley. I actually got into it. What's her name is great.

Watched the first two episodes last night...definitely digging it. Agree with the current ranking of storylines of Tim Robbins, Pilot, then Black.

That's pretty incredible as the show has pretty universal acclaim. What's your beef with the pilot?

She ends up being pretty fucking awesome in the show.

Honestly...every character/actor is pretty great on the show.
