VT is like 2-8 in their past 10 games at home versus Power 5 teams. VT really eats the donkey cock against mobile QBs which sucks for us as Brissett seems to have massively regressed in his ability to scramble. I think the key in this game will be which team can protect their QB as both O-lines are pretty awful.

We are lucky that they lost Kyle Fuller for the season as that should help the WR find some more space. Really hope we see an improved passing game on Friday.

^x3 this. We might not win again until the Syracuse game. Everyone was talking about how easy our schedule is this season and, other than the first four games, I don't see it. I hope I'm wrong and we just had a bad game last weekend, but I'm not very optimistic at this point.

^ It's an easy schedule if you're a good team. We don't appear to be that good right now. But maybe we just had a shitty game against Louisville...but they're not that good and neither is Virginia Tech. Clemson and FSU are the only really good teams on our schedule right now.

I went to the 2004 game, which we won. We had like 9 or 10 sacks in that game. I sat at the next to last row of the upper deck in the endzone with half of the State fans that were there. The other half were in a sliver of the sideline stands adjacent to us. I got a lot of chants going. We even got a few WOLF...PACK chants going between the two portions of the fanbase. I still think us in the endzone going crazy and making so much noise helped distract the kicker enough for him to miss the field goal at the end. Still one of the best road games I've ever been to. Their fans on the radio afterwards said we were as loud if not louder than the LSU fans that had been there a year or two earlier. My favorite road game was the final game at Maryland in 2012, because it was the first game my wife, who was my girlfriend at the time, got to see with me in person, and the sound that the ball made when it hit off the goalpost and the collective sigh from the crowd, besides the sound of the State fans going crazy, was so sweet to hear.

^^I was at that game as well. 5th row from the field in the endzone, between the uprights. we couldn't tell if the kick at the end of the game was good or not until we saw our guys run onto the field.
