Searched, didn't see anything, blah blah blah...

I'm generally more pessimist than optimist about new TV shows, but the trailers have definitely piqued my interest. Who knows about the story, writing, dialogue and all that "background"/"unimportant" stuff, but it does at least look like it'll have it's fair share of badassery

Hadn't seen anything about it. Looks super cheesy but in a potentially fun way. This could be hit or miss.

i love this show. The fight choreography is fantastic, and the story and sets which mix Victorian, American 20's, and Antebellum South motifs into a post apocalyptic stew are just spectacular.

A+ will watch people get cut up again.

I've only watched the first episode, and I understand things can sometimes drastically change from the pilot, but that said here's my initial take:

+ The fighting/choreography is great
+ The cinematography is great
+ Big fan of the theme, surroundings, feel, set, etc

- The acting and dialogue is really just not good at all, especially from the lead actor and that kid

There's enough here that I'm definitely going to keep watching for now, but really hoping the negative picks up (or just becomes laughably bad on purpose), because it can make a show hard to watch if it's not passable

Tried watching the first couple episodes.

There are no characters that catch my attention and really draw me in. And also the dialogue between characters seem bland.

Hope it continues to get better.... I want to like this show.

^^Excessive blood spurts really hurt the first season of Spartacus as well I thought. Hopefully they turn it down some here too.

Anyone else think the kid MK acts like a spoiled brat most of the time? He doesn't listen to anyone, disregards most orders, and when he isn't picked for something he wants he bitches about it.

Just watched 2 more episodes last night (still have the latest one to go)

Overall I think the acting has slightly picked up from the pilot, but there are still a handful of cringe worthy, soap opera level scenes sprinkled throughout.

And I think both the character of MK and the actor are just plain terrible.

Also Tilda is pretty bad

This is on Netflix now, and I just finished the first season. Agreed that MK as an actor and character is pretty terrible, the Baron's son and Tilda aren't great actors either, but I don't mind Daniel Wu. I enjoyed the show all things considered, the fighting is good, I like all the blood, I like the visuals and I think the world they've set up is pretty cool. Second season begins this weekend.
