Quote : | "Hail, Caesar! is an upcoming comedy film written, produced, and directed by Joel and Ethan Coen. The film is set to star Josh Brolin, George Clooney, Channing Tatum, Tilda Swinton, and Ralph Fiennes. Hail, Caesar! follows Eddie Mannix (Brolin), a fixer working in the Hollywood film industry in the 1950s, trying to discover what happened to a cast member who vanishes during filming.
First revealed in 2004, the film was originally set to take place in the 1920s and follow actors performing a play about ancient Rome. The Coens shelved the idea until late 2013, when they stated it was in development. The project was confirmed to be in development in May 2014. Principal photography began in November 2014 in Los Angeles, California. The film is scheduled to be released on February 5, 2016." |

Better than the first one at least. I'm really suspicious of trailers with a single joke. 1/18/2016 8:56:05 AM |

I liked his delivery on the final movie cut better than anything else during the actual erroneous takes. 1/18/2016 9:57:00 AM |

I hope it's not one of those movies where people get "hilariously" bumped off like "Burn After Reading" and more in the vein of O Brother. 1/18/2016 2:10:34 PM |

Oh Brother, to this day, is my favorite movie. I was really disappointed with Burn After Reading. I hope this one knocks it out of the park. 1/18/2016 9:10:08 PM |

how did you feel about those?

Honestly the only one I've seen since Burn After Reading is True Grit, and while I really liked True Grit, it just didn't have the feel of a Coen Brothers movie. I've heard A Serious Man is pretty good, but I've just been too lazy to watch it.
For me personally, they can't top Fargo and O Brother. I also didn't like Lebowski, and I'm probably like, 1 of 5 people in the country that has seen that movie and didn't like it. 1/21/2016 7:20:31 AM |

Lots of people didn't like the Big Lebowski after their first view. It really is one of those that gets better after every viewing, even after you've watched it a dozen or more time. This seems to apply to most Coen Brothers films.
I really like No Country for Old Men.
Serious Man was okay, I need to watch that one again.
I didn't really like Inside Llewyn Davis, but I need to watch it again too. The cat scene was cool.

Big Lebowski is good sheerly on casting alone.
That's my first time seeing this trailer. It looks better than I first thought...and this cast is star studded as well.
Could be good.

It's a fun little romp. Perhaps the least violent Coen Brothers movie ever made. It feels like someone who was really into TCM wrote a love letter to movies. 2/8/2016 3:19:54 PM |

We thought it was pretty good. Not one of their best, but solid. Really neat to go back and look at who the characters were supposed to loosely represent (Tatum is Gene Kelly, Clooney is Kirk Douglas, Johanson is Esther Williams, the journalists, Carmen Miranda, etc. etc.) And Dolf Lundgren makes a quick cameo. 2/16/2016 12:50:11 PM |

Saw this last month, I liked it but it was not nearly as funny as I expected it to be. Was hoping for a comedy more in line with O Brother Where Art Thou.
Had some laughs but the funniest parts were in the trailers. 8/15/2016 2:33:05 PM |

A Serious Man is a FANTASTIC movie. It is in someways a retelling of the Book of Job and a look into the age-old "why do bad things happen to good people" and the struggle it creates with God.
Haven't seen this one yet but I plan to, probably as an in-flight time killer. 8/15/2016 3:17:43 PM |

Movie was about absolutely nothing. It was just a day in the life of somebody that worked in Hollywood and exploited all of the dirty gossip in the industry that we already knew about. Entire scenes were thrown in just to act as blatant plot devices that didn't mean anything, and promising story lines that were built in the beginning were just ignored and faded away.
And channing tatum overacted the shit out of his role. It wasn't funny. 8/15/2016 3:23:35 PM |
