Damn this is an intense movie. The last scene in Pacino's room is weird and doesn't fit the rest of the movie, but otherwise it's filled with so many great moments.
I watched it over 10 years ago and don't remember enjoying it this much. It's streamable on Netflix now.

I also watched this recently, after having not seen it for 7-8 years. 11/12/2015 9:01:02 AM |

I thought that it featured a pretty by-the-books, albeit entertaining, portrayal of the devil. Charlize Theron definitely rocked it though as the lead's tortured wife. This story arch actually featured some deep acting by Keanu in depicting the True horror of realizing that his loved one was being brought to pieces by demonic forces. Man, that second act in particular was fucking intense.
I just thought that ending was terrible, and that the movie (Especially Reeves and Theron for the work that they put in) deserved something better.

Could have definitely ended better. Pacino's monologue is great though. 11/12/2015 12:15:52 PM |

If you're going to listen to one How Did This Get Made? podcast.... listen to the episode where they discuss this movie. 11/12/2015 2:15:02 PM |
