Syracuse has actually been tough at home. A 17 pts spread seems like easy money by betting on Syracuse. Hope we can come out and put it away early, but I see this being a clusterfuck type game where both team execute like shit and the winner is the one who makes the least mistakes.

Syracuse actually has their starting QB out so the back-up will be in and he runs the options mainly, so that's sure to screw with us. They're also missing 3-4 starters on defense.

good, easy first drive. hopefully we can continue that. seems like several times this year we've had 1-2 nice drives to start the game before stalling from there. not sure if that's been opponents making adjustments or what.

ok, maybe we should have been favored by 17 how did this team only lose by 10 to clemson?

at any rate, this looks to be our program ceiling until we get someone competent in charge. cuse, bc, and wake are awful, so we should be beating these teams. we can't beat lville, clemson, or fsu, so that leaves us stuck at 4th in the atlantic perpetually, and it will take a win against the tar holes/rotating coastal team just to get to .500 in the conference.

that said, if we hold on and win this one, and beat the holes, we'll meet "expectations" for the year (and they're looking not good against vt). win today and lose next week, completely mediocre especially with our high school jv OOC. hard to get excited about things if this is as good as it gets (which is what we ran TOB off for)

Just so everyone knows, we are playing with sophomores and juniors. Our sophomores and JRs are good enough to beat the weaker teams but not good enough to beat the jrs and srs of the better teams even though they competed for a half. It should be simple to see that in the next 2 years we will only get better and better.

if you took away the 4th and 5th year players on every team we lost to, leveling the playing field for DD, we would have probably won most of those games easily. You can't compare what DD has built in 2 years to what Dabo has built in 6.

Also, it doesn't matter who your coach is, you aren't likely to beat fsu and clemson. period. they have more talent than all but a few teams in the country and the winner of that game will almost always be in the mix for a national championship unless a diamond in the rough russell wilson type player comes to another team in the division.

You aren't going to win a national championship here simply by hiring a "competent" coach.
