Who has advocated that CC holders should be used instead of police, or should be relied on? People are just speculating that maybe a CC holder could have saved some lives. Other people are convinced that's impossible for some reason.

Quote :
"Thinking a cc holder is more likely to do something stupid rather than be helpful in an active shooter situation is pretty much based in fact."

can you provide some examples of CC holders doing stupid things during active shooter situations?

A CC holder might have saved lives, or might have gotten more people killed, or might have done nothing. It seems pretty clear though, considering how many mass shootings we have, how many CC holders we have, and how few shootings our peer nations have (and other studies), CC holders don't really impact shooting events as a whole in this country.

It's just a fun hobby for an individual to partake in, if they choose.

so no instances of active shooter situations where a CC holder tried to be a hero and ended up making things worse?

There are plenty of instances of concealed carry shooters starting the mass shooting, so I would say they made the initial situation worse

Quote :
"CARY, N.C. — A man has been charged after police say he made disparaging remarks at a Jewish synagogue and burned a cross.

William Josephus Warden, 20, of Cary, has been charged with ethnic intimidation and burning a cross.

Officers with the Cary Police Department said the incident occurred Saturday around 10:15 p.m. at the Congregation Shaarei Shalom at 700 Old Apex Road.

Police say Warden rang the doorbell of the building and made disparaging statements against the Jewish religion and people of the Jewish faith when it was answered remotely.

According to police reports, he also burned a cross, though officials did not say where. The investigation is ongoing.

^^ It's a Jews-for-Jesus synagogue, most Jews wouldn't consider them to be actual Jews. It's like the "rabbi" Mike Pence asked to give a prayer about Pittsburgh and he asked Jesus to help Republicans win.

The fact that this guy went there to be anti-Semitic and not to the actual Jewish congregation in Cary is almost laughable.

"A 49-year-old Coast Guard lieutenant charged with stockpiling weapons and drugs is being described as a "domestic terrorist" who was planning "to murder innocent civilians on a scale rarely seen in this country," according to court documents filed in U.S. District Court in Maryland on Tuesday.

Federal prosecutors say Christopher Paul Hasson, a self-described white nationalist living in Silver Spring, Md., was amassing firearms since at least 2017, while cultivating plans to launch a widespread attack on prominent Democratic lawmakers, including House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, and several high-profile television anchors from MSNBC and CNN."

Dude had 15 weapons and ~1000 rounds. That's not "stockpiling" by any reasonable definition, unless you think buying 20 packs of ramen noodles is "stockpiling." 1000 rounds of ammo is, at most, a couple trips to the shooting range. That's just fearmongering towards people who don't know anything about guns.

except he wasn’t planning to go to the shooting range

I know how much you love definitions, so here’s one:

https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/stockpile

he was stockpiling, (or gradually accumulating) weapons and ammo to murder people, and began stockpiling them since at least 2017

So, in almost two years, he amassed... basically nothing. I promise you that multiple people on this board have far more than what he had. Again, it's nothing more than fearmongering to folks who know little about guns.

So there are multiple people on this board with hit lists and the supplies to carry them out. And are also dumb enough to google search a bunch of incriminating things?

If you are willing to consider a couple boxes of boil in bag rice, 8 cans of green beans, 4 boxes of cereal, and some ketchup as a "stockpile of food," then we will consider this a "stockpile of weapons." The fact that this turdbucket had bad intentions doesn't change the fact that this is not an abnormal amount of weapons. Or am I "stockpiling cars" by having two vehicles at my house?

Tucker had two revolvers, 2 shotguns, and 4 hunting rifles and yall are acting like he's got a fucking Cabella's in his garage.

if you have 6 cans of beans, 4 packs of ramen, 5 bags of rice, tactical plate carriers, with plates, to carry magazines for your beans and rice, lots of ammo for your beans and rice, a list of people to kill with your beans and rice, then yeah that's a fucking stockpile of food

Yellow journalism is worth calling out every single time. Using inflammatory language about an unremarkable number of items is yellow journalism. That the slapnut who had those items is a racist moron doesn't change that fact.

I've got more than 2 pair of running shoes. I'm clearly stockpiling shoes. Better hope I don't write down a list of people I want to chase. I've got two baseball bats. Clearly I'm stockpiling bats!
