I mean, small potatoes, but can we sit back and just take stock that on the president of the United States' twitter feed is a link to a The Gateway Pundit story.

I guess congrats to conservative media for absolutely and totally winning control of the minds of the country?

I don't think they've won over the minds. They've won over Trump's mind.

^^ they control EVERYTHING. The Democrats had a lot to do with that but I'm not sure how you can conclude anything but the GOP and RW media have won the war (for now).

^^Well by definition if you say for now, they haven't won the war. if anything, they've won a battle. But it's cynical to say they control everything, just as it's cynical for Republicans to say the LW media controls everything.

I don't "overlook" the fact that anti-semetic things happen, or that actual hate crimes happen. There will always be bad people from every background doing bad things... the point is how does the media report it? Do they report it based on statistical/historical relevance, or do they simply hand pick the anecdotes that fit their political narrative at the moment?

There were "spikes" in anti-Semitic incidents under Obama, but I guess that doesn't fit the narrative. It was revealed that the "spike" in anti-Semitic incidents under Trump was a hoax caused by a leftist... but I guess that doesn't fit the narrative.

The truth is, you hacks want narrative over reality, and when you live in a click-bait echo-chamber that is exactly what you get. Flimsy anecdotal cases to support your shitty ideology that simply can't stand up to scrutiny.

Just Googled this, there are a few more "anti-Semitic" incidents the past few months debunked.

http://www.fakehatecrimes.org/reports

You gotta love the culture of "Victimhood Olympics" that the regressive left has created. I guess this is the kind of false-flag shit you can expect when your entire ideology is based on convincing people that they are "oppressed" when they aren't.

And we already know 100% of these were front page material on the HuffingtonPost, yet oddly enough they don't update once the hoax has been exposed... (Muh Narrative)

Cute little website that only serves to feed your narrative. If they were that concerned with being impartial/fact checking there would be side-by-side comparisons of hoaxes vs. non-hoaxes.

lol, dude is funny.

anyways, trump recently did an interview with time, here are some gems:

Quote :
""I'm a very instinctual person, but my instinct turns out to be right. Hey, look, in the meantime, I guess I can't be doing so badly, because I'm president, and you're not," he told Time's Washington bureau chief, Michael Scherer."

On claiming Obama wire-tapped him
Quote :
""I quoted the judge the other day, Judge Napolitano," Trump told Time, referring to the Fox News contributor Andrew Napolitano, who reported the information on Fox News using anonymous sources, on which Trump's White House based the claim. "I have a lot of respect for Judge Napolitano, and he said that three sources have told him things that would make me right. I don't know where he has gone with it since then. But I'm quoting highly respected people from highly respected television networks.""

ON claiming Ted Cruz's father killed JFK
Quote :
""Well, that was in a newspaper," Trump said. "No, no, I like Ted Cruz. He's a friend of mine. But that was in a newspaper. I wasn't, I didn't say that. I was referring to a newspaper. A Ted Cruz article referred to a newspaper story with -- had a picture of Ted Cruz, his father, and Lee Harvey Oswald having breakfast." "

Quote :
"Presented with a litany of other falsehoods and mischaracterizations, Trump offered this nonchalant rebuttal to his critics: "What am I going to tell you? I tend to be right. I'm an instinctual person, I happen to be a person that knows how life works.""

Quote :
""Brexit, I predicted Brexit, you remember that, the day before the event. I said, 'No, Brexit is going to happen,' and everybody laughed, and Brexit happened. Many many things. They turn out to be right," he said."

Of course, this is from CNN, so they probably just made up those quotes.

The problem with the "fake hate crime list" is that people use the few instances of made up crap to dismiss legitimate hate and terror. The fakers piss me off just as much as the actual perpetrators, but so do those who then act like the real thing isn't a big deal.

Those are just the hoaxes that just caught and exposed. That isn't "a few instances"... it has gotten to the point where the majority of headline stories are in fact later proven to be hoaxes.

Also nobody is acting as if the real cases "aren't a big deal"... people are just being rightfully defensive. When you have a media and hate crime fakers actively trying to portray you in that light... it's pretty despicable. The majority of Americans are very gullible and when the media and hoaxers create the narratives...

You really need to find a dictionary and look up the word "majority". Unless you have statistical data to show that more than 50% of these reports of hate crimes are hoaxes, you're completely full of shit.

This bill passing would be the worst thing for Trump. It's got no chance at all in making it through the Senate as written, walks back a huge campaign promise he made and if it fails he can just throw Ryan under the bus (and he will).

If it fails he can blame and move on.

From a personal perspective I can't root for it to pass even knowing that would be worst-case for Trump. The people most affected would be the same people who, in large part, put a psychopath in the WH but they don't deserve to lose health care and potentially die for that.

^^^ You need to improve your reading comprehension. I said "headline cases"... meaning the cases that are just too perfect for the media to pass up... aka the OBVIOUS hoaxes like someone burning a black church and painting "Vote Trump" on it. The same ones that you hacks have fallen for time and time again.

Quote :

Moron and OEPII are the classic examples of the most gullible/indoctrinated/brain-washed caliber SJWs... Moron literally posted about the "anti-Semitism spike" long after it had already been established it was a leftist hoax.

The sad thing is you guys just don't learn... I mean just on TWW we have had about 5-6 cases of narratives built on hoaxes get exposed... yet you remain as gullible as ever. I guess it's because the HuffPost only posts about the hate, but not the hoax.

#EchoChamberSyndrome

Edit: Your gullibility and refusal to think for yourself is why the DNC pays people to start fights at Trump rallies and pose as victims. Your stupidity is why the DNC declined to what it is, and why Trump is POTUS.

oh, no denying that Vice leans left (at least most conservatives would think so, although they think most any journalism leans left) . i was mainly posting it for the actual tweets.

(but what does it matter? the story is pretty much all fact, with a few "biased" observations, like calling what trump is doing "trolling", which is pretty hard to dispute.)

WSJ reported today on the hate crime discussion. Some tidbits:

FBI shows 5,850 reported hates crimes in 2015, a 7% increase from the prior year, partly due to a 67% jump in anti-Muslim incidents. Anti-Jewish incidents rose nearly 9%.

Recent data shows sharp increases in hate crimes in major cities such as New York and Los Angeles.

Law enforcement in 15 major metro areas reported more than 1,600 hate crimes in 2016 which is a 10% increase from 2015.

Figures come from FBI, Center for the Study of Hate and Extremism at California State University (San Bernardino).

What a disaster. Although, I think there's a cautionary tale here for Democrats who want a "Tea Party" esque far left movement to rise in the party. It's hard to govern with extremists, the equivalent of this would be the ACA being killed because a lot of Democrats refused to vote for anything that wasn't single payer. It's also a reminder that government is hard, especially anything related to healthcare, and Obama/Pelosi/Reid deserve a lot of credit for getting it done in 2010.

It wasn't Trump's fault this thing failed. But he made this process all about himself, and said he was going to be the ultimate deal maker, so this became his failure. And after promising to unite the country, he hasn't even united his party.

^ it's equally his fault as it is GOP. He ran on repealing and replacing ACA, he's supposed to set a target for legislators to hit. Obviously trump is dumb and doesn't know anything about policy but his policy people seemed to be asleep at the wheel here too.

Trump surrounds himself with sycophant so I have zero reason to believe they'll learn from this.
