I wasn't sure where to put this and has little to do with the President's credibility. But, this is fascinating. Both of these show that the core pillars of Trump's campaign and with the latter conservative ideology are both underwater in public opinion.

Is it pure irrationality? Did people just want a change, give Trump a chance and are already experiencing massive buyers remorse? Or did people really fall prey to the "we are going to win so much we'll be tired of winning" from a guy with a history of more losing than winning and sever mental handicaps?

The quicker he realizes that he really doesn't have a mandate and focuses on important things to all such as infrastructure/job and wage growth the better and more effective he will be. If he continues down the dead-end healthcare and wall paths his presidency will pass him by and he will be one of the most ineffectual of all time.

This is a good thing and will help female entrepreneurship worldwide. This is no different than an acting cabinet member being related to a foundation and accepting money from foreign governments and leaders.

And she isn't just related to a cabinet official, she IS a cabinet official. Even if it's just a bullshit title and she isn't actually doing any work, she is still officially employed by the whitehouse.

How stupid do you have to be to fall for the wage gap myth STILL?

Is it echo-chamber syndrome, statistical incompetency, or more of the "religion of victimhood" that perpetuates this debunked bullshit amongst you leftist hacks?

Some of the research firms we use... wow.

I've never seen them outright mocking a policy proposal like this. Basically a zero chance of happening as outlined by the WH.

i like the tax cuts but think we should do them after we fix the spending problem. the debt is going to be a big deal once interest rates go back to normal levels.

To what extent would the spending problem need to be fixed before implementing these tax cuts?

Would spending need to reach a zero trajectory so that only these tax cuts would increase the debt?

Would the debt level need to be reduced to the extent that these tax cuts merely offset the reduction so that we remain at our current debt level?

Or would we need to curtail enough spending so that the implementation of these tax cuts results in a debt level that's lower than what we have today?

Why is the White House not cooperating fully with the Flynn thing? Bizarre to cover for a guy who it appears is going to be punished with a fine at the absolute very least.

If that was the case, it'd come out eventually anyway. These things don't go away.

Pence obviously knew. FFS, didn't he got written warnings from State about the Turkey thing.

Not that I'm a fan of the guy and I could be completely naive here but I actually thought Pence didn't know. During that entire time wasn't Trump basically freezing him out of everything because he didn't like/trust him as an insider?

Nope, that's just what they want you to think. Pence "lead" the transition team, he vetted Flynn, he knew exactly what his past was like. Which is why they can't reveal documents because they would bare that out and they already crafted their "poor old locked out Pence just along for the ride" narrative.

[Edited on April 27, 2017 at 5:20 PM. Reason : And that's being charitable, the documents could reveal much worse!!!!]

Yea, which isn't the end of the world, but it's the reason Flynn was originally canned and they (or the media) ran with that narrative like crazy.

Exclusive: Trump says he thought being president would be easier than his old life
http://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-trump-100days-idUSKBN17U0CA

best part:
Quote :
"More than five months after his victory and two days shy of the 100-day mark of his presidency, the election is still on Trump's mind. Midway through a discussion about Chinese President Xi Jinping, the president paused to hand out copies of what he said were the latest figures from the 2016 electoral map.

"Here, you can take that, that's the final map of the numbers," the Republican president said from his desk in the Oval Office, handing out maps of the United States with areas he won marked in red. "It’s pretty good, right? The red is obviously us.""

With regards to still talking and boasting about his election numbers and handing out maps... and not feeling embarrassed about it:

Is he just so brazen?

Or is he that childish/childlike?

Because any normal human would be embarrassed to still to be talking about it after winning the election.

PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: -- and I thought that -- well, you saw what happened with surveillance. And I think that was inappropriate, but that's the way--

JOHN DICKERSON: What does that mean, sir?

PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: You can figure that out yourself.

JOHN DICKERSON: Well, I-- the reason I ask is you said he was-- you called him "sick and bad".

PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: Look, you can figure it out yourself. He was very nice to me with words, but-- and when I was with him -- but after that, there has been no relationship.

JOHN DICKERSON: But you stand by that claim about him?

PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: I don't stand by anything. I just-- you can take it the way you want. I think our side's been proven very strongly. And everybody's talking about it. And frankly it should be discussed. I think that is a very big surveillance of our citizens. I think it's a very big topic. And it's a topic that should be number one. It was a point in time ripe for a con man. Simple as that.

- Proliferation of fake news is just starting and the mediums most susceptible weren't ready for it.
- Two historically unpopular candidates for president
- Economic uncertainty for an aging populace led to yearning for a time gone by that is never returning

It was just a convergence of factors. Like I said, just be glad he is an incompetent.
