it's hard to tell with such a small sample size but they knock down 3s pretty well. similar FG%. we have the advantage on rebounding on both sides of the ball, size and depth. they look marginally better with assists but I think DSJr just needs to find a rhythm - same with our 3s.

I went on Montana and Creighton's message boards yesterday and didn't see any talk about us but will look again and see what they're saying.

Not that anything less than 1st place matters, but it looks like the teams which finish 2nd, 3rd, or 4th will each only have one loss. 5th, 6th, and 7th will each have 2, and one team will get 3 losses out of this.

(My point is other tournaments have single or double elimination, so this seems like a big risk for the lesser teams who don't want to roll in numbers in the loss column)

^i kinda doubt it. something like a players' immigration status is out of the NCAA's control. as far as the NCAA is concerned, a player is either ruled eligible immediately, or serving a suspension, or entirely ineligible. not much "bargaining" in this sense...if they wanted to suspend him for this tournament, i think they would have.

It was going to be a longshot to win this tournament and beat Creighton even before we found out about Kapita not being able to play.

Just beat Montana, keep it respectable to Creighton, and then focus on getting the team playing well together before the ACC Season arrives.
