The sad thing is, it's going to take Yurtseven probably 4-5 games to really get going and get up to speed and our fans are expecting him to be a top 10 draft pick day 1.

He might shock me and be an immediate impact player, but I think he's going to need some time. I'll be happy if he's starting to average 12/8 come ACC season. I can see him having foul issues early as he adjusts to college ball versus international.

Not like Yurtseven just came out of highschool. Dude was playing pro ball in Turkey before he came over.

He has also been practicing with these guys for months and is huge and athletic.

I don't think it's unfair to expect him to have an immediate impact on the floor. I think he should have an immediate impact game one and be a beast by game 10.

Based on exhibition games, the Turkish ball is a hindrance, in a small part. They play a more contact heavy game that he needs to get used to, see his fouling out in exhibition game.

We looked like a much different team with the Turk. He actually knows how to play defense, just need to minimize the fouling. He also is a big that can dribble, pass, and score. He opens up the offense tremendously.

This is as smoothly and the best defensively all around I've ever seen a Gottfried team play.

Other than Y7 with foul shot violations and fouls, he played well...looked really smooth in person. Like you're used to seeing from Dook and UNC each year.



That Dunk though...someone needs to get a replay of that lob dunk, it was awesome.
