^ and ^^. i get that. but it's what you can do as a fan. the whole "one game at a time" is cool, but it doesn't hurt anything if i'm looking ahead at the schedule. other than i'll be let down and bummed if we lose, but face it...if we lose any game i (and all state fans) are gonna be let down and bummed anyways. look ahead if you want to, enjoy that what-ifs and the hopefulness. it's fun.

i get the whole "we've been burned before" and "nc state shit" stuff. and i'm not gonna tell anybody how to be a fan. but for me, i'm tired of the pessimism and the "yeah we'll just lose to unc in the last game of the year" or "we'll beat clemson and lose to bc". i mean...that could all happen. but it's far more fun for me to try to embrace the fact that we're a pretty dang good team for the first time in a long time. and i wanna enjoy it instead of living in fear of how we're gonna blow it.

wake is the scariest non-clemson/nd game. they're pretty solid. bc, unc, pitt are all pretty shitty teams. doesn't mean we can't lose to them. but wake is actually a good team and it's on the road.

Honestly wasn't sure if he was still on the team. He came in and was the kickoff guy for us as a freshman. I just assumed he must be a shitty fg kicker to never get a chance in games. Our kicking situation is shitty. I don't think DD is intentionally overlooking Maples. I trust his judgment based on practice.

That South Carolina team that is the sole blemish on our record, is a respectable 5-2, even without Deebo Samuel. Only losses were the game they lost Deebo to a now 5-1 Kentucky and a close loss on the road to a now 5-2 TAMU.

they will lose to Clemson and UGA, but Vandy, UF, and Wofford are projected wins. They could easily end up 8-4 and finish 2nd in the SEC East.

Still a massive 'what if,' but not looking as bad a loss as it did at one point.

They actually rank ahead of ND in the ELO rating on 538, and listed as the 22nd most likely team to make the CFP (We are 14th).
