sounds like it was mostly the anguish.

I imagine they'll never get any of it but will be able to garnish wages of McFarlane whenever he is out? I'm not sure how that works.

Hulu one was way more interesting/entertaining.

Netflix one was depressing AF.

If you only watch one, watch the Hulu one.

^^ I have an IG account, but I'm pretty much never on there, since I don't follow celebrities or care about who follows me. I'd say once teenagers and young adults ditched FB in favor of IG and snapchat, that's when all of it started to take off, so I'd say 3-4 years?

Billy needs to stay in prison lifestyle longer, and Ja Rule needs to be sued as well.

But great documentary on netflix, ill check the hulu one

The Netflix documentary seems better from a cinematographic standpoint and is more polished, it's shot better, but the Hulu one has better perspective of the attendants and behind the scenes videos.

Also Billy really fucked up when he told people to just take a tent, because it sounds like some of his people had, once again, stepped up and somehow made do with the terrible situation they were put in.

Watched both over the past week. I still don't see why everybody in both talks about how Billy's this great salesman. Dude is awkward and goofy as fuck, and I wouldn't buy a fucking thing he was pushing.

^TWW users are a cut above. If we wanted to deal with the people he was selling to we'd post on Facebook.

^^^ he’s cut from the EXACT same cloth as Trump, so it’s not reallly that difficult to see why a lot of people could be so easily duped. The fact that Ja Rule was the ace up his sleeve just goes to show how stupid his target audience was.

Well we got to page 2 before someone obsessed with Trump injected him into the thread

Aww, I forgot that morons who actually like Ja Rule still exist. Good thing you didn’t get scammed Tree- that would’ve been so embarrassing.

When he asked that guy that had been helping him out with everything to go suck someone off, that was crushing. It also says a lot about Billy that Billy assumes just because the other guy is a homosexual performing sexual acts for money is somehow less crushing to his ego and self-worth.

The worst part about that is the guy agreed to it... and admitted it!

so I watched the Netflix versions first and then the Hulu one last night. I liked Netflix better but felt the Hulu one did a better job of perfectly outlining how obvious it was they should have stopped, how out of their element they were, and just how sleazy Billy (and even Ja) was.

I do agree with whomever said it that you can watch both and not feel like you've seen the same thing twice, even though some footage is reused.

I'm not sure how Blink-182 as the headliner didn't give this away. Hopscotch has a more talented set list.

also, that documentary did give me a lot more respect for those who started hopscotch and all they go through.

Quote :
"Tickets for the event set customers back between $1,200 and $12,000, and in the wake of the disaster a number of lawsuits were filed on behalf of those who had fallen victim to its tragic reality.

In April 2021, a settlement reached in a US federal court concluded attendees could have received up to $7,220 each, however the payout was slashed to just $281 (£204) as lawyers struggled to get back money from those who had promoted the festival.
