Not that I know of. I went to the beach with my family, she was supposed to come too but at the last minute said she couldn't get off work. Came home and she had moved out

Eh fuck it. I've been with her for 5 or 6 years, married for 9 months. She talked me into getting married, just because it was the next step. It'll be a nice change

We have a cousin who started dating a guy, was engaged in a couple of months, married with in a year, divorced within the following year, got remarried to the same guy within the next year and pregnant within like 6 months of that. She is like 25ish. Oh and this is her second husband and child. Oh and she lives at home with her parents.

Yeah I'm not technically divorced yet. You have to be legally separated for one year before you can get a divorce. So 10.5 more months

30 and separated, 9 more months to go! Dated 7+ years, married for maybe 6 months. So glad I finally caved and proposed like she wanted...

We've talked a couple of times, just about logistical stuff though (you took this and I need it back, you forgot that, etc). Not much indication, we argued once every few months (since we've been together, not just married) about me not wanting to go out, that I'd rather just stay home then go blow money and her getting bored, but to be completely honest I thought that things were a lot better. She'd finally made some friends in the area and was hanging out with them a lot, which I thought was perfect. She got to go out and do the "fun" stuff she wanted and I could stay home and grill or work on things, it seemed to be a pretty good system.

Sounds like she met a dude in that group of friends.

Also sounds like you're better off without her.

It's possible, but I don't really think so. But yeah, I think I'm definitely better off. Also I finally got her to sign a separation agreement so now I can change my benefits without waiting until open enrollment. Extra $300/month by dropping her insurance? Yes, please.

I changed the amazon password a while ago, but all of her devices didn't need a password update (fire stick and fire tablet) but everything she was downloading didn't cost anything so I was going to let it go. However, I was going to stream music through Amazon prime tonight and it told me there were too many devices using it and asked me if I wanted to boot one. Of course I did, I pay for the shit so when I want to use it I will. Apparently, after I booted her though it gave her the same option and she booted me. We went back and forth 3 times before I said fuck it and deregistered all of her devices through Amazon. I feel kind of bad cause her tablet had all kinds of books and stuff but shit, I pay for prime and if she's going to try to kick me off my own account, then fuck it

Didn't they have like 12 kids? That's going to be rough.

My wife always scoffs at other people getting divorced (not looking down...just doesn't get it). Her parents are still married after like 50 years or something. I always reply with, "who knows what's going on...people do fall out of love..etc" and she gives me the fucking death stare. No guarantee we're going to last forever either bae...just being real!

lol probably the pain pills emce. I'm loopy as shit and decided now was a good time to come back to tww.

Jbtick your wife is lucky to have parents still together. That is not the norm. My husband and I have accepted the mentality that we will try everything before using the d word. Death or divorce. You decide.

Jbrick, your wife isn't the only one who thinks that way. My husband and I are kinda the same way. Neither of us had parents who've divorced. We're also both not "soulmate" people. It's finding a person that you feel is worth working through the bad times. If you choose your partner wisely, most marital problems outside of abuse are not insurmountable. But it takes both people going into it with that commitment and attitude. But maybe I'm naive.

Naive and young.

T-dub won't be around...but if it was, all the marrieds should revisit this thread in 10-15 years.

We're 35 and we've been together since we were 20. Maybe we will feel differently once we hit midlife, but we've dealt with a lot of things that would have torn most couples a part and had to grow up pretty quickly. We have a handicapped child and nearly went bankrupt paying for the care of that child. We've had mental health issues and infidelity. We were long distance when he had a job transfer and I was pregnant with our second child. Marriage is not easy. It's two people growing and changing independent of one another. They each have goals and desires that may not always mesh. But we chose to be life partners and that means loving and supporting one another as we go through life together, accepting that there will be challenges and hurts that will need to be worked through.

It just appears one has been in Mexico for a long time? Don't know if she is still there or not but I don't think her husband is ther with her? And a post about a boyfriend or something? These thoughts literally creeped into my mind as I was looking at instagram at 3:30am feeding my baby and loopy on pain pills from surgery a few days ago. So legit, my judgement could be way off but what better place to make assumptions and have people either confirm it or verbally beat the shit out of you than here right? Feels like coming home.
