This argument may be true for a handful of teams but its extremely weak overall when you consider that the regular season is already completely meaningless for most of the teams.

You don't even have a real league when you consider the fact that ~40% of the teams can't win the championship no matter what.

I kind of thought that Bama would beat Clemson, perhaps even badly. They had all that time to rest up. Also I felt that throughout the course of the season, particularly in our game, there were times where Clemson was exposed. The first half of our game against them was no fluke. You give a season’s worth of game film to Saban and his staff and a month to prepare, they will pick apart the other team. Amazing to think had we just taken care of business these past two years then there would be no 3 straight playoff appearances for Clemson. No dynasty for Dabo. Had we beaten them this year, I have no doubt in my mind that we would have beaten this year’s Miami team. Oh well we still had a good year by our standards.

On a side note I was really hoping for an OU vs. Bama matchup just to see how Baker Mayfield would have been tested against Bama’s defense.

Finebaum's pretentiousness just peaked in an interview with his Orlando counterpart. He actually claimed Alabama's schedule strength was superior because they beat #3 Florida State. The entire sport is a joke right now. There is nothing else like it in the world. Even judged sports have strict criteria that cannot be changed on the fly.

This is the only sport where you can win every game and not be undisputed champions but UCF is claiming it so Monday night is really just a consolation game.

All the different telecasts other than the main one work great. Film room, data center (just regular telecast with stats display on side), lebatard’s telecast, etc. they all work almost perfectly. Just the main feed is complete fucking shit for me

This is great news. Alabama's no longer especially dominant which means Clemson is no longer dominant which means we are a lot closer to the top than I originally thought. Clemson was the only good team Bama beat all year.
