^^ watched our opener over Labor Day at a place called Double Dogs on 21st ave. Lots of TVs, plenty of seating, not super crowded for the noon games but picked up for the 3:30 games.

^^i think that's only true for games on the ACC Network (formerly Raycom.) I don't think Fox Sports games are streamed for free. But I may be wrong.

Why don't we focus less on how UNC isn't getting penalized more, and more on the awesome success of our football team?

Bunch of damn babies, all of you. Besides, we have already reaped the benefits of this whole scandal in terms of their football team being pretty severely penalized.

Let me explain in bullet form:

1. In 2010, UNC had basically an NFL caliber defense. That defense was forced to sit out the entire year after the tweet by the UNC DT started this whole thing. Their offense with Yates at QB still almost beat a stacked LSU squad in the first game of the year. They still went on to have decent season on back of their offense. Who knows what would have happened that year had their amazing defense remained intact, especially in an overall down ACC. It could have been the beginning of their dominance.

2. This scandal got Butch Davis fired, just as he was about to bring the program to the next level. Now they have the Hat.

3. The self imposed post season ban from a few years back kept them from being in the ACC championship one year.

4. Finally, the scandal has cast a shadow over their recruiting for last 7 years. Numerous big time players, (including that one QB who ended up switching to the Irish where he took them to championship game) de-committed in the year that followed. This has kept their recruiting in check considerably over last 7 years.


All in all, I think we should be content with the punishment suffered by UNC's football team due to "the scandal". Instead of whining about wanting more, let's get back to focus on our beloved Fack and the natty championship run.
