Why the hell did we get Gameday in 2004 for our bad team's game against a Miami team that didn't even win the league and lost 3 games?

Edit: apparently they were undefeated but we were 4-2 and had the worst offense I've ever seen.

This week is their second Penn St game in a row, I doubt they make it three. Seems like Bama could be a good one since they've only covered the SEC once, but maybe they save it for Auburn? They haven't seen the ACC recently either, but have done 2 clemson games already, so that could be a point against us

Definitely a winnable game, that game got away early from USC mostly due to turnovers and then their depleted d-line just couldn't handle ND's rushing attack as the game wore on. We're not a turnover prone offense, especially from the QB position, and our defensive line is one of the best in the nation. I like that we're coming off a bye week too.

Winnable game for us.

I think Gameday only happens if VT(Duke) or Miami (@UNC) loses this week and we take out ND and Clemson survives the GT triple option. The only thing about Miami is they would have to do Gameday from the Miami campus since the Stadium is like 20-30 miles away depending on the way you go.

^ No, the only thing that needs to happen is we beat ND and Clemson beats GT. No way ESPN passes on a definite top 12(maybe top 10) NC State team hosting a top 10 Clemson team with the Atlantic on the line. The stars, the ACC, the underdog, the defending champ, the missed kick last year, etc. Just waaaaay too many easy storylines and stars to focus on.

That stadium would be absolutely insane.

I agree, with the VT/Miami game being at Miami, they run the risk of a shitty atmosphere. I'm trying to recall, and my google fu can't answer this, but has gameday ever been at a location where the home team shares a stadium with an NFL team?

There's also Oklahoma/Ok. state the same day, which is a 10/11 match up as of this week's rankings.

they have done gameday at cowboys stadium and also done multiple gamedays for fs1 games. there is gameday fatigue for alabama games and also a lack of conference implications for the ok state game.

thet havent been here in a while which gives us an advantage. they dont always just take the highest rankes game like some of youbare suggesting.

I felt like we hung 30 on Miami that game. Jay Davis had a few INTs, but he also threw like 4 TDs I think. Of course I think Miami put up 40+...but we didn't get totally annihilated.

we had lost that game by halftime and the game was nowhere near as close as a 14 point final deficit made it seem (just looked, we scored two TDs to end the game to go from 45-17 to 45-31.)

The dumbass decision to directional kick it to open the game rather than have Derany boom it out of the endzone was mind boggling. HELLO THAT IS DEVIN HESTER BACK THERE YOU MORON.
