way to start 4-0 and show some resilience! Nice job forcing turnovers and keeping with the game plan. Tough start when they were hitting everything to start the game, although it is a little troubling that this is the second game in a row where the opponent started off hitting a very percentage of their shots. Over time our intensity wore down both Bryant and Presbyterian, but we gave way too many open looks to their 3 point shooters.

Abu will be a big boost to this team once he comes back. It is a pretty big difference when freeman is in versus yurtseven, not sure if freeman has just improved that much or yurtseven has not improved. Freeman has been unstoppable these past few games. Johnson has also been very good. Not as impressed with Al Freeman, but hopefully he irons out the kinks with his shot. We have to hit some 3s to be competitive. Dorn has also been good, his defense is a little concerning but he is being asked to cover their power forward.

What's sort of encouraging is that we haven't shot for shit from deep these past two games, yet we're still winning going away. I know we're not going to be a great shooting team regardless, but with Hunt, Freeman, and Beverly, we should hit more than 1 a game (which is what we had against Presby).

Really curious to see if we go big when Abu gets back and start him + Freeman/Yurt, or if we stay small with the 4 guard lineup. Guess it can be a matchup/foul situation thing. But I'm always in favor of small ball

Any word on Abu?

Freeman has definitely been putting in work, both physically and with his game. Yurtseven was overseas for most of the summer, correct? So I'm not sure Keatts has had the time to develop him. Even if he has, he sucks. He may be one of the biggest busts in recent memory.

Keatts will only say that he's keeping Abu out "until he's 100%."

He's running/shooting at practice, so he's got to be pretty close. I think Keatts is just keeping him out as long as he can while we were playing scrubs to minimize the chances of re-injury

With his team, eh. Maybe if we had better perimter shooters, but we don't need four dudes driving to the hole every possession.

Between abu and nard, we have two big men that can run the floor really well and score down low. And more importantly, rebound.

Unitl he elevates his game,Yurt needs to be the one with the minutes reduced. I'd love to see him come in and play face to the basket, shooting 17 footers and 3's more often. He's nearly unguardable out there. He seems to shoot better than our guards.
