I had scrambled eggs and sausage.

Those Sam's Club take and bakes are top notch. I used to enjoy them a lot when my membership was active.

Went to a Thanksgiving dinner. Had about 8 different dishes and at least 10 different desserts, from a total of at least 5 countries/regions.

So full... going to sleep!

Pan-seared tilapia, roasted asparagus, and mac & cheese from a box. Been experimenting a lot lately with the new kitchen gadgets, but tonight we kept it fairly straightforward.

Made a mexican bowl thing with black beans, tomatoes, sweet peppers, and cabbage (low cal sub for rice) topped with some chicken breast, avocado, and pico de gallo. Had some non-fat greek yogurt doctored up with sugar free cheesecake pudding mix and some fresh peaches for dessert.

Haven’t figured dinner out yet. Likely a light fish dish considering I’m eating a heavy taco pie right now.

Burgers. Lately we've been mixing in a little local sausage we have (1 part sausage, 3 to 4 parts beef), along with a little minced garlic and a touch of raw horseradish. It's delicious.

Also spaghetti sauce, usually over zoodled zucchini or spaghetti squash.

Dinner is in a few hours, but don't know what yet.

Made Kagoshima Wagyu beef steak yesterday (grade A3), and man, that was a life-changing experience!

I can't even imagine what A5 will taste/feel like!

Wagyu is very rich, and unlike regular steaks, just a little is enough. I had two steaks weighing a grand total of 100 grams (USD 10), and I cooked those and cut them up into strips (width-wise) and turned them inner surface up how they do in Japan, so you could see the beautiful pink insides (on each strip) facing up on every plate. Served it with sauteed potatoes, mushrooms, fresh cherry tomatoes, and sliced baguette heated up in the leftover beef juices in the pan. Three of us shared that beef! While I would have loved to eat it all by myself, even 40 grams (1.5 oz) was satiating, because you have to eat it mindfully, which means chewing slowly, preferably with eyes closed, and really tasting all the flavors and textures.

I'mma pony up and get a proper-sized A5 steak one of these days, but before I do that, I still have A4 Wagyu in the freezer which I received for my birthday, so I think this weekend is gonna be awesome!

I make a lot of hamburger helper type dishes with peppers, onions and fresh herbs. Some times mix with sharp cheddar or gruyere cheese. Sometimes I add cumin and chili powder and light tomatoes.

the tilapia is just the crap from the freezer at costco. it's an easy protein, so i always keep some in the freezer.

the fresh stuff i get from The Shrimp Connection in Summerfield just a couple miles from my house. They make a run to the coast every week and bring fresh stuff from Surf City to Greensboro and Lake Norman.

tonight i sauted up some onions, sweet peppers, and garlic, bulked it up with some cabbage, then added a can of diced tomatoes. seasoned it up with italian stuff. put some spicy italian style chicken sausage on top. then some nutritional yeast on top of it all. pretty good. quick and easy in one pan.

made a low cal brownie recipe for dessert. they're cooling now. smells great. we'll split a pint of Nick's light vanilla ice cream with those.
