Trying to gauge if there's any interest in my '95 Wrangler. Runs great and has very low miles for its age. It's a third vehicle and I rarely drive it. I have a couple of young kids so I'm considering selling to raise money for a newer Unlimited. I'm the second owner but have had it since 2000. Essentially stock and not offroaded so it would be a great project vehicle.

~105k miles
4.0L 6-cyl engine
Manual Transmission
Currently has a bikini top but I also have a NIB Bestop Supertop - black with tinted window and all new hardware

Photos in my gallery.

I’ve taken it on 540 several times and I haven’t felt unsafe.

Gas gauge works just fine. Heat works as well. Has the factory AC which is also in good shape. The vent cover is a little loose but it blows cold.

As far as I know there aren’t any issues with the u-joints.

^^^ An anywhere-near stock YJ will be totally fine at highway speeds, unless something is fucked up.

Asks for interest . Does not answer simple question about asking price. 1 very interested buyer out.

^I don't have a specific price in mind. If I did I would have listed it initially. I've received a couple of PMs and answered questions as they've come up.

Like I said, I wanted to gauge interest. If someone wants to make a good offer I'll listen. If not, I have no problem not selling it.

What do you consider a good offer?

I honestly cannot stand these people that say make offer or PM for price.

Just be upfront, you're likely to sell it quicker.

Whats the absolute bottom dollar someone could give you right now and drive away with it?

Why do I have to say the lowest price I'll take for it? Why can't a buyer say the highest price they'd offer for it? Not trying to antagonize - honest question. I know the prior would sell faster but if my motivation isn't to sell quickly, why should I go that route?

I've been on the fence about selling it anyway, so let's just let this thread die. I thought I'd put it out there to see if there was an offer that I couldn't turn down, but I don't know that that will happen. Again, honestly not trying to be a jerk about it. If anyone felt I was wasting their time, my apologies.

It is called negotiation. I didnt ask for yoru bottom dollar. I know that is how JTs post sounded but not going to put words in his mouth. I asked what do you want for it. Name a reasonable price we can consider if we may want to pay that and counter. This is not a difficult concept. Say $10k and we know to walk. Pro tip: shoot high on your ask and then see if we will offer above your bottom dollar. I feel crazy having to explain this. Now that i think about it... yep waste of time. Enjoy your jeep.

As tempting as it is to accept an offer half of what you think it is worth from someone calling me fuckface I think I'll pass.

I'm find with you not understanding things.

No longer for sale. Cue the rants about me being a bad seller and/or bad person, blah blah blah. Just don't care.

Obviously you do care or you would not have responded and like you said let the thread die. But you continue to antagonize.

Honestly you would probably get about $3400 on trade for this so $4000 is probably the correct 3rd party value. Its not that hard, that is all you would have to say, start at $4500 and have $4000 as your price floor.

Never understood "gauging interest". Just stick a crazy high price on it and see what happens.

Oh this was a serious thread? I figured an actual thread about selling an vehicle would be in the classifieds.

I also think gauging interest is silly.

FINALLY! he admits a price point.

So he thinks $4,000 is what he would take.

Now really, was that so hard? Instead of this run around you could have already had legitimate offers on it(jk its tww)

But now you're just a bad seller.

What's so tough about puttin up a price like Rat said and letting the offers come in? Gauging interest. pshhh

"make an offer" works on junk items (e.g. vehicle not running) and low end stuff (like <$50). Even then, you still failed to respond when an offer was posted

i'll give you $3200 for the jeep sight unseen

if you want more let's arrange a time i can come see it - i have to warn you though, i work on these a lot and there's an even chance that my offer goes down rather than goes up after i look at it hard
