I think "mind your business" is good advice. But something else needs fixing. I just can't imagine looking out over a neighborhood pool, identifying the one black family in the whole place, and then agreeing with my fellow board member that we should definitely ask them for ID.

That’s the main issue...

Maybe the autistic person freaks out about everyone she doesn’t know, but we know statistically black people especially face scrutiny in their own spaces that other people don’t face.

To us nerds, anecdotal instances don’t mean anything and it’s hazardous to demonize individuals who maybe are just jerks to everyone, but to the masses of yokels out there, these sorts of videos help reinforce the valid idea of systemic racism and bias that non-whites routinely face.

The Puerto Rican women was the one taking shelter from the rain in the doorway. ^I sincerely hope it's worth it. I don't like people being recorded and collectively shamed all over the world. I don't like people losing their jobs or being ridiculed in the neighborhood. I don't like other people, especially white people, getting to shame the latest "racist" and show their friends how righteous they are.

So I do sincerely hope this practice is revealing the depth and breadth of racism that simmers all around us. However, I'm concerned that we're mostly just fueling an army of anti-"virtue-signalling" assholes who don't do much but vote.
